Job summary

Ledcor is hiring a Project Manager with 8+ years of experience on construction projects focused on bridges within our rail program in Ontario. You will develop and execute project plans, schedules, and resource requirements to meet safety, quality, and client expectations.

This role requires coordinating with designers, technical teams, and clients, managing budgets and change control, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex bridge projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
8+ years with a major contractor on large heavy civil and bridges projects
Experience with construction of new bridges (Rail and Road)
Experience in railway corridors and understanding rail corridor requirements
Experience with in-water works including CLOCA requirements
Working knowledge of MTO and Ontario municipalities road construction standards and processes
Demonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teams
Experience delivering projects on schedule and within budget
Experience with Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint and Bluebeam
Excellent technical, communication, organizational, managerial and planning skills
Excellent people and leadership skills

Responsibilities

Review project contractual documents to understand requirements (design, specs, schedule, budget, safety, quality, environment) to complete on time
Liaise with designer, technical department and client on technical aspects
Review and understand project design, technical reports and background information
Develop an execution plan outlining construction staging, materials, equipment, subcontracting, and services
Provide technical assistance and recommend construction methods and equipment
Manage quantity take-offs, BOM, estimating and scope for structural and civil work
Lead activities to ensure alignment with designs, budgets and schedules; address deviations
Develop and manage client relationships, progress reports and communications
Monitor onsite activities, quality, productivity, progress, and safety; enforce procedures
Anticipate roadblocks and develop solutions; resolve issues during execution
Implement and monitor safety programs
Manage RFIs and field instructions
Prepare progress reports
Perform other duties as needed
