Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking an aspiring Assistant Project Manager to oversee the structural scope of large-scale infrastructure projects, including GO Transit.

You will collaborate with the project team to develop schedules, monitor progress, and engage with stakeholders to support milestones and budget targets. The role requires 5+ years of civil construction experience, Ontario P.Eng is an asset, and demonstrated ability to manage design-build projects in rail corridors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil construction experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager is required.
• Completion of post-secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Rail transit experience in live corridors, highways, bridges and other structural infra projects is required.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects for a General Contractor in Canada is required.
• Ontario Professional Engineer license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project.
• Implement the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to ensure HS&E standards and OH&S compliance by all on site.
• Develop and maintain the construction schedule with the project team to meet milestones.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor progression.
• Identify and manage opportunities and risks to protect schedule and budget.
• Manage the procurement process including subcontractor negotiations and awards.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet or exceed approved standards.
• Maintain and track billings, reports, and projections within financial targets.
