Job summary

Germain Hotels is seeking a sociable Breakfast and Banquet Server to ensure guests have everything they need during lunches, meetings and events. You will prepare stations and tables, respond to guest requests, and restock food and beverages to maintain an attractive presentation.

The role requires strong stress management, the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb, and prior restaurant service experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms for lunches, meetings, banquets and events: stations, tables, etc.

• Ensure an attractive presentation and adequate quantities of food and beverages during events; restock as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and safety of premises and equipment.
• Work with kitchen and team to ensure smooth, high-quality service.

We're looking for a sociable and enthusiastic Breakfast and Banquet Server to make sure our guests have everything they need during lunches, meetings, events and banquets. This person, who enjoys making friendly connections with people, contributes to a high-quality experience during service periods, whether moving a table, cleaning a station or serving a tasty beverage.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare rooms for lunches, meetings, banquets and events: stations, tables, etc.
• Respond to requests and assist guests throughout the service; bring what's missing, handle payment, etc.
• Always offer an attractive presentation and a sufficient quantity of food and beverages during the event: restock as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and cleaning of premises and equipment in accordance with health, safety and sanitation requirements.
• Work as a team with the kitchen and other team members to ensure quality service that is both smooth and enjoyable.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent, an asset
• Experience in restaurant service, an asset
• Excellent stress and pressure management skills
• Good physical condition: must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift/carry loads of up to 50 lb

The hourly rate for this role is 17,60$, in alignment with internal equity.
