Alforno Bakery & Café in Calgary, AB invites hands-on Bread/Bakery Cook to craft high-quality artisan breads and baked goods following our recipes and schedules. You will join a culinary team focused on excellence within Teatro Group, delivering great taste and service to customers.

Ideal candidates have bakery experience, a love for fermentation and artisan techniques, and the stamina to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a bread baker or in a commercial bakery is preferred.
• Knowledge of artisan bread techniques, fermentation, and baking equipment.
• Operate mixers, proofers, ovens and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service oriented and welcoming to guests.
• Passion for artisan bread, pastry and coffee culture within Alforno brand.

Join Alforno Bakery & Cafe's culinary team as a Bread/Bakery Cook, where you will produce high-quality artisan breads and baked goods in accordance with company recipes, standards, and production schedules. Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. At this time, we are not offering immigration sponsorship.

What are the duties to perform:

• Previous experience as a bread baker or in a commercial bakery is preferred.
• Knowledge of artisan bread techniques, fermentation, and baking equipment.
• Sound knowledge of operating mixers, proofers, ovens, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multitask effectively
• Welcoming and providing customers with the best services

• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required.
• Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
• Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 30 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
