Job summary

New Brunswick Community College is seeking a Brand Experience and Activation Specialist to steward the NBCC brand across events and activations, leading planning and execution of ceremonies and campaigns.

You will develop activation playbooks, manage budgets and logistics, and ensure consistency with NBCC brand standards while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver memorable brand experiences.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of NBCC's major ceremonies, events, and brand activations, including graduation, capital campaign launches, and other institutional initiatives.
  • Develop activation and event plans that align with brand objectives, stakeholder needs, production timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Manage event logistics, vendor relationships, signage, environmental graphics, branded merchandise, digital displays, photography, and videography requirements.
  • Ensure all event materials and activation assets align with NBCC brand standards and create engaging, memorable experiences.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams and external vendors regarding brand requirements and production expectations.
  • Develop and maintain brand resources, templates, activation playbooks, and tools that support consistent brand execution across the College.

Job description

NBCC is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Brand Experience and Activation Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team.

Reporting to the Manager, Strategy & Growth, this role is the primary steward of the NBCC brand and is responsible for bringing our brand to life through memorable experiences and high-impact activations. From graduation ceremonies and alumni recognition events to capital campaign launches and strategic marketing initiatives, you will lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the College's most visible public-facing moments.

As the Brand Experience and Activation Specialist, you will ensure a consistent and engaging brand presence across events, activations, and institutional touchpoints while developing tools and resources that empower teams across NBCC to deliver exceptional brand experiences.

Location: Any NBCC campus location

Salary Range: $59,046.00 to $82,576.00 per annum

Qualifications
Education
  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
Experience & Expertise
  • Minimum five to seven years of recent, related experience in brand management, marketing, communications, event management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale institutional, corporate, or public-facing events.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and managing external service providers.
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to develop engaging brand experiences that foster meaningful connections.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
Assets
  • Experience in a post-secondary, public sector, or agency environment.
  • Experience with campaign launches, brand activations, experiential marketing, or event production.
  • Experience supporting multi-channel marketing initiative.

  • Conduct brand research and environmental scans to identify opportunities to strengthen and elevate the NBCC brand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Advancement, Alumni, Facilities, Student Recruitment, academic departments, and senior leadership.
  • Manage activation budgets and support sponsorship activation opportunities.
  • Evaluate activation outcomes and maintain knowledge-sharing resources that support continuous improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
