Job summary

Our Pickering client, a leader in high-quality architectural cladding solutions, is seeking a Brake Press Operator to join their growing team.

This full-time opportunity offers a Monday to Friday schedule (7:30am–4:00pm) with a pay rate of $25–$30 per hour, based on experience. Join a team that values precision, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years brake press operation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Strong math and measuring skills.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press to fabricate and form products.
• Load and unload material by changing tools.
• Perform bending, shearing, punching, and notching of metal components.
• Use vernier caliper for measurements, manual layout and bend deduction.
• Work with sheet metal gauge 26 Ga to 12 Ga.
• Prioritize production to meet customer deadlines.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, attachments and materials on brake press.
• Inspect all manufactured parts after production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Operate brake press to fabricate & form products
• Perform loading and unloading of material by changing tools
• Perform various fabrication techniques such as: bending, shearing, punching, and notching of metal components
• Use vernier caliper to conduct measurements, perform manual layout and bend deduction calculations
• Work with sheet metal gauge range from 26 Ga to 12 Ga thickness
• Prioritize production to ensure customer orders are completed on time
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on brake press
• Inspect all manufactured parts following work
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3-5 years Brake Press Operation experience
• Must be able read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
• Strong math & measuring skills
• High school diploma / GED / or equivalent preferred
• Heavy lifting of 50lbsAttention to detail skills
• Strict adherence to safety practices and procedures
• Able to multitask, work in a team and independently with minimal supervision

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
• Pay Rate: $25-30 per hour (based on experience)
