Job summary

Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver seeks an attentive Host to welcome guests and manage seating with warmth and precision. You will guide reservations, coordinate with servers, and ensure a seamless dining flow in a fast-paced, luxury setting.

The ideal candidate has experience in guest-facing roles, strong communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality. Evening/weekend shifts are required in a premium hotel dining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a host or guest-facing role is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage reservations and guest flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Forbes Five-Star service standards is a plus.
• Serving It Right certification.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a host or guest-facing role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure
• High attention to detail and a passion for guest service
• Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) is an asset
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Serving It Right certification
