Job summary

Convoy Supply Ltd in Prince George, BC is seeking a self-sufficient HIAB Crane Operator/Driver (Class 1) to join our team. You will ensure on-time, safe deliveries and pickups, operating a crane and truck to move materials at customers sites and our yards.

Qualifications

• Class 1 CDL with a clean driving record.
• Crane certification for 0-22 tons required.
• Prefer at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Manual transmission experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of load securement.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Load and unload materials.
• Comply with company and government regulations and rules.
• Ensure load securement including installation of corner boards.
• Match shipments to sales invoices.
• Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service.
• Operate truck safely.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act.
• Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements.

• Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
• Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 75 lbs
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
