Job summary

Convoy is seeking a HIAB Operator/Driver (Class DZ) to safely deliver construction materials in the Mississauga area. You will navigate routes, perform vehicle inspections, and load/unload materials while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Ideal candidates are punctual, with 2+ years of driving experience, HIAB and crane certification, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. This role offers home nightly schedules and a comprehensive benefits package that supports

Qualifications

• Class AZ/DZ CDL with clean driver’s abstract.
• HIAB experience and 0-8 ton crane certification.
• Preferably at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Manual transmission experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of flat deck load securement.
• Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections.
• Load and unload materials.
• Ensure load securement and use corner boards when transporting.
• Match shipments to sales invoices and use Samsara for compliance.
• Operate truck safely and maintain equipment; daily vehicle checks.

Position summary

We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated CDL drivers for our Mississaugalocation at 195 Statesman Drive,who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.

Job requirements

• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Load and unload materials
• Comply with company and government regulations and rules
• Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
• Match shipments to sales invoices
• Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
• Operate truck safely
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
• Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements

Qualifications

• Class AZ/DZ CDL with clean driver’s abstract
• HIAB experience and 0-8 ton crane certification required
• Preferably having at least 2 years of driving experience
• Manual Transmission experience is an asset
• Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
• Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs
