Job summary

Kibbi in Canada is seeking an accounting clerk to support payroll, bookkeeping and financial reporting functions. You will handle payroll cheques, asset depreciation calculations, ledger maintenance and journal entries to keep the books accurate.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in payroll and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other financial, statistical and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
• Prepare trial balance of books
• Reconcile accounts
