Job summary

Maple Ridge Manufacturing Firm is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its in-house team. The role reports to the President and covers full-cycle accounting, payroll, tax filings, and financial statement support.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, a diploma or degree in accounting, and will work five days in the office in Maple Ridge. Competitive compensation is offered along with extended health and dental benefits.

• 5 days in office role.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing, payments, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Perform bank, credit card, vendor, and customer reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll, including payroll deductions and applicable government remittances.
• Prepare and file GST/PST returns and ensure all tax-related accounts are properly reconciled.
• Handle shipping, freight, import/export, and customs documentation, ensuring accurate accounting and recordkeeping.
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and other required adjustments.
• Complete month-end account reconciliations and support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and bookkeeping records, ensuring transactions are properly coded and documented.
• Support year-end close, audits, and external accounting requirements by providing accurate financial information and documentation.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance team while identifying opportunities to improve processes and maintain strong internal controls.
