CA$40,000.00/yr - CA$50,000.00/yr

Overview

A well-established public accounting firm in Mississauga is seeking a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join its team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and payroll who also brings excellent organizational and administrative skills to support smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for multiple clients in accordance with current legislation
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, general journal entries, and related financial reports
  • Ensure timely remittance of government filings

Administrative Support

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails
  • Organize and maintain client files, records, and documentation
  • Provide scheduling and general support to the firm’s professional staff
  • Assist with onboarding documentation and communication for new clients or staff

Qualifications:

  • Around 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required
  • Experience with payroll processing is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Previous experience in an accounting firm or professional services environment is an asset
