Job summary

Brunning & Company seeks a high-performing bookkeeper to own end-to-end bookkeeping for a client portfolio. You will manage reconciliations, AP/AR, and GST/HST filings with precision across e-commerce platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in public accounting or bookkeeping practice (Canada) are required.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of end-to-end bookkeeping for a dedicated client portfolio.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Take Full Ownership: Manage end-to-end full-cycle bookkeeping for a dedicated client portfolio without needing a babysitter.
• Solve E-Commerce Puzzles: Handle complex clearing accounts and integrations across Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, Etsy, and BigCommerce.
• Maintain Clean Books: Complete bank, credit card, and merchant reconciliations, AP/AR, and HST/GST filings with absolute precision.
• Deliver Insights: Produce pristine monthly reporting packages and communicate key metrics clearly to clients.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 3+ Years in a public accounting or bookkeeping firm, or running your own accounting business (Must be in Canada).
• 3+ Years expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce payment gateways, inventory workflows, and payout schedules.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) with elite communication skills.
• High-speed internet and a secure, up-to-date computer setup.
