Base pay range

CA$65,000.00/yr - CA$72,000.00/yr

The Opportunity:

Are you a meticulous, self-driven finance professional who thrives on accuracy and accountability? We’re hiring a Bookkeeper on behalf of our client's leading property management firm. In this role, you’ll take ownership of full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities and help build financial transparency and trust for residents and stakeholders alike.

As the Bookkeeper, you will manage a wide range of financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, payroll, and budgeting. You’ll support multiple clients and work closely with external auditors, insurance brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, efficient financial management. This is a hybrid role based in Calgary, with both remote flexibility and a local presence required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Full-cycle bookkeeping for 4 corporations (10-20 vendor payments and 50-150 customer payments/month per client)
  • Monthly payroll for 1 client (2 employees, timesheet-based)
  • Process receivables: run EFT batches and deposit cheques
  • Download/process vendor invoices daily; ensure WCB, insurance, and EFT info is on file
  • Draft annual preliminary budgets 60+ days before fiscal year-end
  • Generate documents as needed
  • Liaise with auditors and insurance brokers for all clients
  • Pick up mail weekly from the Calgary office
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice/payment issues

What We Need From You:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in real estate or property management
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and intermediate Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial processes
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines independently
  • Located in Calgary, AB (required for in-person tasks like mail pickup)
