This is for the 2026-2027 school year.
CBE Human Resources manages a roster of contingent casual on-call workers who are engaged to temporarily replace staff absences and to work on short-term projects. Work assignments may be scheduled in advance or the morning of the assignment. Roster staff enjoy the flexibility of working in schools and Departments full-time or part-time with a minimum commitment of two days availability per week. If you are looking to work casually or if you would like to gain experience to move into a regular position, the Support Staff Temporary Roster may be the opportunity you are looking for.
We are looking for reliable, self-motivated people to join our temporary roster team as on-call Bookkeepers to coordinate the financial transactions of a school or department in accordance with Calgary Board of Education (CBE) administrative regulations and practices. For school based positions, this position may work in collaboration with a school Business Manager.

Responsibilities
The Bookkeeper is expected to fulfil any of the following functions, however, responsibilities and assignments may vary from one location to another:
Maintaining school or Department financial records and assisting with annual budget preparation:
Receiving, recording and depositing all cash and other negotiable items:
Assisting the Principal, Department Manager and/or Business Manager in the following areas concerning goods and services procurement, distribution and receipt:
Remaining current with respect to CBE administrative regulations and practices as they pertain to finances and purchasing, advising school administration, as appropriate.

Police Information Clearance: Applicants new to the Calgary Board of Education who are offered employment must complete and pass a police information clearance before employment is confirmed.
