An established community-focused organization seeks a dedicated volunteer Board Treasurer to oversee financial management and ensure sustainability for stroke recovery initiatives. This role is crucial in guiding the financial health of the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre, which has been serving stroke survivors since 1974. As a Board member, you will play a key role in strategic planning and governance, contributing to a vision of a barrier-free community for stroke survivors. If you have finance expertise and a passion for making a difference, this is an excellent opportunity to lend your skills to a meaningful cause.
North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre (NSSRC) is seeking a volunteer Board Member with finance/treasury expertise for a two-year renewable term as Treasurer. The Treasurer should reside in or near the North Shore of Vancouver, BC.
Since 1974, NSSRC has been dedicated to maximizing the quality of life for stroke survivors through accessible programming, peer support, and healthcare partnerships. The NSSRC Board oversees strategic planning, financial management, risk, and governance. We seek a Board Member with non-profit finance/treasury experience, preferably with ties to the North Shore.
Board members typically dedicate about 10 hours per month, including attendance at monthly online meetings. Additional hours may be required for specific initiatives.
