Job summary

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP is seeking a Billing Compliance Specialist to support the end-to-end client billing process. You will manage accrual deadlines, guidelines, budgets and PO data, while coordinating onboarding for clients to new eBilling platforms.

The role requires a college diploma or university degree in business and at least three years of experience in finance/billing within a professional services setting. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• College Diploma or University Degree in a business discipline.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in finance/billing/project management in a professional services environment preferred.
• Experience with Ebilling systems and accounting platforms beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage client billing compliance requirements including accrual deadlines, guidelines, estimates, budgets, purchase orders, tax forms, and banking information.
• Coordinate onboarding for new clients and migration to new eBilling platforms.
• Liaise with stakeholders to obtain matter access, PO details, tax docs, and banking information for timely billing setup.
• Maintain accurate client and matter billing data in accounting/eBilling systems.
• Review NBI requests and assign work within SLAs.
• Oversee team mailbox and ensure timely follow-up on billing matters.
• Prepare weekly status reports and key operational updates for leadership.
• Update procedures and training materials to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Communicate with peers, lawyers, billers, assistants, clients and vendors to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing compliance and data accuracy.
