Job summary

Inner Circle Agency Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a growing notarial practice in Montreal. You will manage daily accounting, with emphasis on trust accounting and real estate transaction administration, collaborating with notaries and the operations team.

The role requires at least 1 year of bookkeeping experience, strong knowledge of Quebec GST/QST, exceptional accuracy, and full bilingual proficiency in French and English. On-site, supportive, and professional environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong knowledge of Quebec GST/QST and general bookkeeping principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to manage multiple files.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with notaries, accountants, management, and team members.
• Fully bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for deposits and errands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements, client accounts, and trust accounts per notarial regulations.
• Process invoices, payments, deposits, and other day-to-day transactions.
• Prepare and submit GST/QST returns and other government remittances.
• Support financial administration and reconciliation of real estate transactions.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing and coordinate with external accountants and management.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance.
