Job description

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist to be based preferably at Head Office in Dieppe, or Dorval terminal in Quebec, or Toronto Terminal in Ontario. The selected candidate will be sourcing and attracting qualified candidates for vacant positions. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.

Qualifications
  • Education Required: Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or other related disciplines
  • Years of Experience Required: 3 to 5 years in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR related field
  • Advanced level French and English required (English is required: recruitment and selection of candidates for both QC and ON, 100% of the meetings are with Head office (NB) team members, 90% for reports)
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Taleo, Oracle or other ATS is required
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook etc.)
  • Proactive and able to assimilate new information quickly
  • Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Source, screen, test and facilitate interviews for selected candidates
  • Manage the hiring process from creating a job posting, maintaining a pipeline of potential candidates for key roles and developing external/internal strategic relationships for key roles
  • Work with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to fill vacancies and support succession planning
  • Assist Driver Services with the planning and preparation of driver files and ensuring it is compliance with company requirements and procedures
  • Leveraging job posting sites, tools and employment agencies to source quality candidates at the best cost
  • Follow corporate HR recruitment procedures and policies
