Job summary

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a full-time Bilingual Primary Care Registered Nurse in Ottawa, ON to provide service to our client in a primary healthcare setting. Compensation -$52/hr.

PCNs are responsible for patient assessment, screening, education, and chronic disease management within a multidisciplinary team, handling both walk-in and scheduled visits for various health needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of full-time equivalent experience in family practice, ambulatory care or similar setting in last 3 years.
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university.
• RN license from the provincial or territorial college in the province of practice (Ontario).
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED Level C.
• WHMIS certification renewed every two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care services to members, including patient assessment, screening and chronic disease management.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team to develop and implement care plans and provide patient follow-up.
• Handle walk-in and scheduled appointments for acute or chronic health needs.

They function as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team to develop and implement care plans and provide patient follow-up. Their work includes walk-in and scheduled appointments with acute or chronic physical, mental, and occupational health needs.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess a minimum of one (1) year of full-time equivalent experience in family practice, ambulatory care environment or in a health care setting in the last 3 (three) years.

Candidates must also possess:

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university
• Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED Level C

Additional Requirements

• Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (every two years)
• Must be bilingual and able to provide care in both English & French
