Job summary

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN/LPN) with one year of experience for a full-time contract in Kingston, Ontario. The successful candidate will deliver direct patient care in multiple primary and ambulatory care settings, under physician supervision.

Qualifications include Ontario licensure, completion of a Practical Nursing Program, and CPR/AED Level C with BLS. Additional requirements include N95 fit and WHMIS certification.

Qualifications

• One full-time equivalent year of nursing experience in the last 3 years.
• Current Ontario license and completion of Practical Nursing Program.
• CPR/AED Level C and basic life support certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under physicians and RNs.
• Perform COVID screening prior to clinic entry.
• Assist with vaccinations and patient history/physical assessments.
• Conduct selected diagnostic/therapeutic interventions; counsel on preventive care.

Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a Full-time Contract opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN/LPN) with one (1) year of experience to join the team in Kingston, Ontario. We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services! The successful RPN/LPN provides services to patients on a walk-in and appointment basis in various primary and ambulatory care settings such as the Care Delivery Unit (CDU), treatment room, and specialty clinic.

Duties And Responsibilities

The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities Could Include, But Are Not Limited To

• COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic;
• assistance with vaccinations;
• conducting patient history and physical assessments;
• performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; and
• counseling patients on preventive health care.

Qualifications

The RPN/LPN shall possess, as a minimum, one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.

Skills And Qualifications

All LPNs must, as a minimum, have:

• Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses;
• Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice; and
• Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.

Other Requirements

• Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
• Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
