Job summary

Centretown Community Health Centre is seeking a Medical Receptionist for the New Canadian’s Clinic – Integrated Health Services (IHS) in Ottawa. The role focuses on front-desk reception, patient intake, appointments, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

This regular full-time backfill position offers a stable schedule, a comprehensive benefits package including HOOPP, and the start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years' experience as medical receptionist.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Proficient with Windows-based systems, email, MS Word and databases.
• Typing 40 wpm.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Experience with medical scheduling systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Phone and client reception, routing and triage.
• Client intake and rostering of clients.
• Booking of appointments and coordinating schedules.
• Complete tasks as requested and support team needs.
