Job description

A law firm located in the Olympic Village in East Montreal, near the Assomption metro station, is looking for a legal assistant to join a family-oriented team of 3 legal assistants and 3 bailiffs.

The position is permanent and available immediately. We are seeking a qualified, dynamic, and organized individual to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and stimulating environment. This position offers numerous learning and professional development opportunities.

Advantages
Your benefits for this legal assistant position:

-Permanent position
-Salary between $51,000 and $60,000
-35 hours per week - from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
-2 weeks of vacation (negotiable)
-On-site parking
-Located in the east end of Montreal, near l'Assomption metro station.

Responsibilities
-Managing phone calls
-Managing the Outlook email inbox
-Greeting and providing accurate information to clients who come in person
-Managing files related to service of process and enforcement (eviction, wage garnishment, bank seizure)
-Tracking deadlines and procedures
-Drafting minutes (data entry)
-Conducting research on the Business Register, Soquij, property assessment, RDPRM, and the TAL website
-Managing accounts receivable
-Digitally archiving documents

Qualifications
-Excellent French and English, written and spoken
-Excellent dexterity
-Proficiency in Office Suite and Outlook
-Strong learning ability and good memory
-Ability to work in a team and sometimes under pressure
