Sovereign Insurance is seeking an energetic Underwriting Assistant to support underwriters in our UA team. The role involves entering new business, endorsements, and renewals, and performing a variety of administrative underwriting duties in a hybrid in-office setting.

We value bilingual collaboration between English and French clients, with a minimum of 2–3 years insurance experience and a High School Diploma. CIP courses are an asset and help advance within the team.

Formación

• Minimum 2–3 years insurance industry experience, preferably commercial insurance.
• High School Diploma required.
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses an asset.
• Proficiency in both English and French is essential to the main duties in this role.

Responsabilidades

• Enter new business, endorsements and renewals into the system and issue policies.
• Train and mentor staff and support team lead/manager with workflow.
• Order risk inspections for underwriters as requested.
• Prepare and maintain basic file setup documents for underwriter approval.
• Obtain additional information from Brokers as required by the Underwriter.
