Job summary

Altis in Woodbridge, ON is seeking an HR professional to advance into a Generalist role. This permanent position supports about 100 employees across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia, balancing day‑to‑day HR administration with projects related to policies, health and safety, employee programs and workforce planning.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of hands-on HR experience (Coordinator/Administrator/Representative or junior Generalist).
  • Professional fluency in English and French, written and spoken.
  • Practical HR experience supporting employees in Quebec and familiarity with Quebec employment requirements.
  • Previous health and safety administration or coordination experience.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources and solid knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR practices.
  • Strong organization, communication and judgement, with ability to work independently and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for employees, answering day-to-day HR questions and providing timely support.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, HRIS updates and other lifecycle activities.
  • Support health and safety administration, coordinating requirements with operational leaders to reduce injuries.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee information and support benefits, leaves and employment-related changes.
  • Contribute to HR projects involving policies, processes, employee programs and workforce initiatives.
  • Support employees and managers across multiple Canadian provinces, including Quebec.

Supporting approximately 100 employees across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia, you’ll become a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers.
