Job summary

Singlepoint-Group-International-Inc is seeking a motivated Bilingual French First-Party Collection Officer in Canada. You will negotiate payment terms, process information accurately, and report to the Operations Manager.

This full-time role requires experience in collections and the ability to work a flexibly scheduled shift across Tuesday to Saturday. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in collections and are fluent in French and English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service and execute effective loan collections.
• Conduct collections calls for all past due accounts.
• Contact past due customers by phone, request payment and negotiate arrangements; send correspondence.
• Use defined procedures to arrange and coordinate firm payment arrangements within risk policy; refer accounts for action as needed.
• Document call activity in the collections system and update account information with commitments, amounts and dates.
• Apply tact and diplomacy; handle objections and use soft calling techniques to manage situations.
• Ensure regulatory standards and best practices in collections are followed.
• Meet individual collection targets to support department goals; maintain and submit reports for review by management.
• Complete other collection responsibilities as assigned.

Acting as a change agent, the Bilingual FrenchFirst-Party Collection Officer is responsible for accurately processing information and effectively negotiating and arranging payment terms. This position directly reports to the Operations Manager.

We are recruiting for a full-time representative within Canada to work flexile schedule requiring:

• Tuesday and Wednesday 11:30am to 8:00pm
• Thursday and Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm
• Saturday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service and ensure exceptional execution results in the collection of financial loans
• Conduct collections calls for all past due accounts
• Contact past due customers by phone, request payment & negotiate appropriate payment arrangements, within authorized limits; Send correspondence to delinquent/collection customers
• Use defined procedures to arrange and coordinate firm payment arrangements within established risk policy for our collection customers; Assess and mitigate risk by referring accounts for further action
• Document call activity details in Collections system to reflect action taken; Update customer account information with e.g. commitments to pay, amounts & dates, collection call updates
• Apply tact, diplomacy & resourcefulness; Handle objections & excuses, apply soft calling techniques, where appropriate, to effectively manage & control situations
• Perform to regulatory standards and best practice on collections
• Achieve individual collection targets, in order to meet Department and Company goals;
• Maintain and submit reports for review by collection management
• Complete other collection responsibilities, as assigned

Experience/Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior experience in a First-Party Collection Agency
• Must be fluent in French and English
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for consistent collection calls
• Good math skills with the ability to perform basic calculations quickly
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to learn and further your career

Compensation: $20.00/hour
