Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS) in Kapuskasing is seeking a Family Preservation Worker for a 12-month, full-time contract. You will provide intensive intervention to high-risk children and families, focusing on behavioural management skills and parental training.

Requirements include a relevant degree or diploma, bilingual English/French, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a valid G-class license with access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in Human Services related to behaviour management, child development and minimum three years relevant experience.
• Clinical skills for assessment and treatment of psychosocial and behavioural problems in children and their families.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• G2 driver's license with ability to obtain G class license or have access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive intervention to high-risk children and families.
• Deliver child behavioural management skills and parental training.
• Collaborate with Family Preservation team to support well-being and safety of children and families.
