Job Description :

This role may be located in Waterloo, Ottawa or Northern Ontario.

What will you do?

  • Manage disability claims to resolution, including determining eligibility for short and long-term disability, salary continuance benefits, and assessing claims.
  • Implement interventions to support timely recovery and return to work.
  • Build strong relationships with clients : employers and their employees.
  • Lead clients during absence and return to work periods.
  • Conduct telephone interviews to gather information for understanding the absence and support required for return to work planning.
  • Assess medical and non-medical factors influencing disability, functional capabilities, restrictions, and limitations.

  • All post-secondary degrees are welcomed.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, especially with complex claims and contracts.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with authentic care and empathy. Proficiency in English and French is required.
  • Resilient and capable of handling stressful situations.
  • Tech-savvy — comfortable using multiple platforms and systems.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player.

The salary range is from CA$54,000 to CA$91,000, depending on location and experience. Incentive plans are also available.
