The Job!

Reporting the Manager of Public Relations and the VP of Public/Member Communications, you will:

  • Oversee the development, creation, and enhancement of French-language communication materials
  • Support the coordination and management of the project calendar, including events, communications, and related activities
  • Develop and prepare advertising, social media, and website content for publication and distribution
  • Provide strategic advice and insights to guide communications planning and ensure effective execution
  • Review and edit content to identify and correct errors, inaccuracies, and other concerns
  • Manage the translation process between English and French, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects aligned with organizational objectives
  • Ensure the organization’s key messaging is consistently reflected across brand, services, and public relations initiatives
  • Lead projects and campaigns, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Foster and maintain relationships with French-speaking members, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for French-language content and communications
  • Advise on best practices, requirements, and strategies for bilingual communication initiatives
  • Contribute to operational planning and uphold organizational standards and protocols
  • Perform other duties and support additional projects as needed

What you bring to the job

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate is a strong collaborator, self-starter, and an experienced professional in communications and public relations with a keen interest in continuous learning. You are bilingual, fluent in both English and French, and aware of how to best communicate with French-speakers especially those based in Quebec, Canada. You also have:

  • Completed post-secondary education in communications, marketing, and/or public relations
  • At least 3 years of experience in communications and public relations in a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in both English and Quebecois French, including translation skill and experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, appropriate for all professional audiences
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, collaboration, and relationship management
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to contribute to strategy development
  • Experience with content management systems, social media reporting, and design software is preferred
  • Able to travel to support and attend various events across Canada
