Job summary

Tenneco is hiring a Business Development Manager for Eastern Canada. This full-time, remote role focuses on growing aftermarket sales through NAPA and traditional channels, building relationships with key accounts, and delivering effective sales programs across Canada.

You will travel up to 50% in Canada and some US meetings, collaborating with the Regional Sales team to expand market share and meet targets. Experience in automotive aftermarket sales is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in French & English.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of proven sales experience in automotive aftermarket.
• Self-starter: develop and execute business/sales plans.
• Ability to travel up to 50% within Canada, with occasional US travel.
• Proven success in exceeding sales targets.
• Proven experience networking with decision makers.
• Ability to move inventories and coordinate changes.

Responsibilities

• Profitably grow business within the assigned area.
• Understand and communicate information on product lines, pricing, discounts, returns, credits and warranty.
• Implement marketing programs.
• Train and support channel key accounts to grow sales.
• Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Resolve customer requests/complaints in area balancing satisfaction and company interest.
• Complete required paperwork and manage assets and spending.
• Build strong relationships with company, customers and industry personnel.
• Support initiatives including pricing surveys and competitive intelligence.
• Speak at trade association meetings and events.
• Manage and process warranty as per policy.
• Compile monthly sales report data for the area.
• Maintain professional relationships with key accounts.
