Job summary

CI Financial in Toronto seeks a Corporate Branch Manager to supervise AFM/ACM registered personnel and branch locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper supervision under IIROC/MFDA guidelines. The role entails overseeing account approvals, training, and reporting to Compliance, with a focus on risk mitigation and client protection.

The position requires travel, four days onsite work weekly, and offers a competitive salary with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years securities industry experience with at least 2 years in a Branch Manager or Compliance Officer role
• Fully proficient in French
• IIROC/MFDA licensed or to be licensed upon hire
• Undergraduate degree and securities industry courses completed
• Strong knowledge of securities legislation and SRO rules
• Proficient with MS Office and securities processing systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee a group of AFM/ACM registered individuals and branch locations
• Approve new accounts and required documentation
• Ensure proper registration and disclosure for activities
• Monitor supervision programs and daily/monthly reviews
• Report client issues to Head Office Compliance
• Lead ongoing education and training for staff on regulatory requirements
• Maintain filing systems and protect client confidentiality
• Travel regularly to sub-branch locations and conduct site visits
