Job summary

Position Overview

The Billing Associate is responsible for supporting the billing process by preparing, reviewing, and issuing invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures the integrity of billing data, assists with resolving billing discrepancies, and provides excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and generate customer invoices based on contracts, purchase orders, and service delivery records.
• Review billing data for accuracy and completeness prior to invoice issuance.
• Process billing adjustments, credits, and refunds as required.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and billing discrepancies.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end billing close processes.
• Support the implementation of billing process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Provide regular status updates and reports on billing activities to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
• Familiarity with billing software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in customer service or client-facing roles.
• Fluent in French.
• Knowledge of industry-specific billing practices.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Working Conditions
