Job summary

Optimum Insurance Company, based in North Bay, Ontario, is seeking a Bilingual Broker Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide financial and administrative support across Canada. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with flexible work arrangements.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will process payments, handle PAC and Direct Bill policies, manage NSF items, prepare notices, and maintain data integrity while delivering exceptional service to brokers and insureds.

Qualifications

• Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in accounts receivable or related administrative roles is asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong keyboarding and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments and prepare bank deposits.
• Apply payments received for PAC (Pre-Authorized Chequing) and Direct Bill policies.
• Process banking changes, withdrawal date changes, and billing amendments.
• Manage returned payments (NSF) and perform required account follow-up.
• Prepare registered letters, lapse notices, and other account-related correspondence.
• Respond to inquiries from brokers, insureds, and underwriting teams.
• Assist with account reconciliation and collection activities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
• Support special projects and departmental initiatives as required.
