Optimum Insurance Company in North Bay, Ontario, is seeking a bilingual Broker Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide financial and administrative support for payments, collections, and broker account activities across Canada. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the role requires fluency in French and English, post-secondary education in accounting/finance, and strong Excel/Outlook skills.

Hybrid work arrangement with in-office collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory (spoken and written).
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration or Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting, insurance operations, or an administrative support role is an asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong keyboarding and data entry skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Aufgaben

• Process incoming payments and prepare bank deposits.
• Apply payments received for PAC (Pre-Authorized Chequing) and Direct Bill policies.
• Process banking changes, withdrawal date changes, and billing amendments.
• Manage returned payments (NSF) and perform required account follow-up.
• Prepare registered letters, lapse notices, and other account‑related correspondence.
• Respond to inquiries from brokers, insureds, and underwriting teams.
• Assist with account reconciliation and collection activities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
• Support special projects and departmental initiatives as required.
