Job summary

Softchoice is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Architect — AI to drive sovereign and on-prem AI solutions. You will translate complex business problems into scalable AI architectures, spanning private stacks and public cloud platforms, while engaging with executives and technical teams in both French and English.

This role offers remote-friendly work with periodic travel to client sites in Canada. You will design end-to-end AI systems, evaluate models and frameworks, and mentor the AI

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solutions/enterprise architecture, or applied AI/ML.
• Professional fluency in French and English, written and spoken, to lead client workshops and presentations.
• Experience designing sovereign/on-prem AI solutions, including private model serving and enterprise AI platforms.
• Solid understanding of GPU architecture, inference optimization, and high-performance networking.
• Knowledge of data residency, privacy regulation, and sovereignty trade-offs in AI architectures.
• Hands-on experience with at least one hyperscaler AI platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience shipping RAG or agentic systems, with embedding/ retrieval/ orchestration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Architect sovereign/on-prem AI solutions and reference architectures for clients.
• Lead client engagements from executive briefings to technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with sales, delivery, and practice leadership to scope and estimate work.
• Mentor other architects and engineers; contribute reusable assets and code reviews.
• Stay current with AI models/frameworks and translate insights back to the practice.
