Recruiting In Motion - Eastern Ontario seeks a Bilingual Accountant to uphold financial integrity for a long-standing nonprofit in Gatineau, QC. The role covers payroll processing, procurement oversight, and compliance, supporting mission-critical animal-welfare services.

Ideal candidates are fluent in French and English, with solid accounting training and hands-on experience in financial management and reporting.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
• Solid academic training in accounting or a related field.
• Experience with payroll processing and financial controls.
• Proficient with QuickBooks and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Billing & Compliance: Implement, maintain, and improve billing processes with internal controls.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, issue billing, follow-ups, deposits.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• External Billing Coordination: Manage invoicing with MAPAQ, municipalities and others.
• Donation Management: Oversee donation administration, data entry, receipts.
• Budgeting & Financial Monitoring: Assist annual budget development and tracking.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and analyses for senior leadership.
• Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate payroll, compliance with policies and laws.
