As a key member of the data & analytics function, you will collaborate across engineering, architecture and business teams to enable self‑service analytics while ensuring security, compliance and cost efficiency.

What you will do
  • Administer and operate Power BI / Microsoft Fabric (workspaces, capacity, semantic models, dataflows, pipelines, refresh schedules, gateways and RLS).
  • Administer and operate Cognos and Tableau platform (Capacity, workspace, processes, etc).
  • Build and maintain reusable platform capabilities (workspace provisioning, policies and guardrails) to accelerate analytics delivery.
  • Implement governance and standards specifications, including tenant settings, auditing and segregation of administrative access across environments (dev/test/prod).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents; perform root‑cause analysis; create runbooks and post‑incident improvements in partnership with Infrastructure, Identity and Security teams.
  • Automate platform operations using PowerShell, Python and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps/GitHub; Fabric/Power BI REST and Admin APIs; Infrastructure‑as‑Code such as Bicep/Terraform).
  • Implement security and compliance controls (AAD integration, Purview labels, sensitivity classifications, access reviews and audit log monitoring).
  • Establish observability and SLOs for the BI platform (usage telemetry, capacity health, refresh reliability); build operational dashboards and alerts.
  • Manage capacity planning, licensing and cost optimization across tenants and workspaces.
  • Partner with data engineering, solution architecture and business stakeholders to enable self‑service analytics; provide enablement and best‑practice guidance.
  • Support a multi‑tool ecosystem when required (e.g., Tableau/Cognos) and lead migrations to modern BI platform capabilities.
What you will bring
  • A university or college education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in BI platform administration/engineering and 3+ years operating Power BI Service/Microsoft Fabric in production.
  • 3+ years operating Cognos Business Analytics and Business Intelligence in production.
  • 3+ years operating Tableau in production.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft tools for data and analytics: Power BI, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse), Azure Data Factory and Azure services.

  • Enterprise gateway administration and hybrid connectivity (on‑premises data sources, networking fundamentals, SSL/TLS certificates).
  • Security‑first mindset with experience implementing RLS, data protection and auditing; familiarity with M365 Purview.
  • Strong communication skills, customer focus and relationship management; able to work through ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Effective time management, prioritization and decision‑making skills.
  • Nice to have: Tableau/Cognos administration, SQL Server/Analysis Services, DAX/SQL expertise.
