Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Service Support Associate in Vancouver to provide in-house service and administrative support to the client service team. You will communicate with plan administrators and advisors, handling processing and ongoing maintenance of employee benefits with strong Microsoft Office knowledge.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and the ability to work independently or within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting and invoice-related activities.

  • Prepare recurring monthly and ad hoc reports.
  • Handle mail, shipments, and inbox management.
  • Order office supplies and manage access cards.
  • Support system updates and policy terminations as needed.
  • Run internal reports to support business changes.

Job description

We are looking for a Service Support Associate.

As a Service Support Associate, you will provide in-house service and administrative support to our client service team. With a focus on customer service, well‑developed communication skills and excellent Microsoft Office knowledge, you will also communicate verbally and in writing with plan administrators as well as advisors in the processing and ongoing maintenance of our employee benefits business.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Accounting and invoice‑related activities
  • Assisting with one‑time and special projects
  • Booking meeting rooms outside of our office locations
  • Completing recurring monthly reports
  • Completing ad hoc reports
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including FedEx shipments
  • Managing the BC Office Associate inbox
  • Ordering and maintaining office and printer supplies
  • Requesting building access cards
Additional responsibilities may include handling or assisting the team with:
  • System updates related to client and advisor changes
  • System updates related to internal changes
  • Policy terminations
  • Running reports from various internal systems to support business changes
Who you are:
  • Highly adaptable, driven to be your best, and proven initiative
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Requires excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • Good problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Knowledge of the group insurance industry would be an asset
  • Minimum high school diploma

The base salary for this position is between $45,600 - $68,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
