Job summary

Raise is seeking a BI Developer & Data Analysts Contractor in Montreal to design data models and build scalable pipelines. You will optimize Snowflake-based solutions using Matillion, develop SQL, and create dashboards in Tableau and PowerBI. The role requires SAP data modeling experience and collaboration within an Agile team.

You will work in a hybrid setup with on-site and remote days, contributing to analytics initiatives and data-driven decision-making for a leading client.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years full-time work experience in BI/Data Analytics.
• Expert-level SQL development and optimization of complex queries.
• Strong Snowflake data warehousing experience.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and data pipeline development.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools, specifically Matillion.
• Familiarity with Tableau and PowerBI visualization.
• Excellent collaboration in Agile Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience modeling SAP ECC/S/4HANA data structures.

Responsibilities

BI Developer & Data Analyts Contractor

• Pay Rate - $62.06-76.27/ hour
• Contract Length: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities:

• Design dimensional and analytical data models using star and snowflake schemas, and build scalable, reliable data pipelines to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
• Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and data models in Snowflake using Matillion for reporting and analytics solutions.
• Utilize AWS cloud services for data storage, computation, SQS queues, SNS notifications, and Lambda functions.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and PowerBI to provide actionable insights.
• Model complex SAP transactional data in Snowflake to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and cross-functional business insights.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Use Jira and Confluence within an Agile Scrum framework to manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, task tracking, and technical documentation, ensuring efficient project delivery and team collaboration.
• Develop and maintain applications using ASP.NET to support data integration and reporting needs.
• Support client's-Energy Rebranding efforts

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years full time work experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering.
• Expert-level SQL development skills with a proven track record of optimizing complex analytical queries.
• Strong experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services and data pipeline development.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools, specifically Matillion.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience analyzing and modeling SAP ECC or S/4HANA data structures, with the ability to transform transactional SAP data into business-friendly analytical models.
• Experience with ASP.NET or web application development.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM models would be preferrable for the long-term
