Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior BI Consultant to design advanced semantic layers, author SQL transformations, and build robust Power BI dashboards for multiple clients. You will work in a Git-based workflow, in VS Code, and serve as the main technical contact for several client engagements.

The role emphasizes translating business needs into deliverables, refining models based on feedback, and presenting solutions. Fluency in French and English is required to liaise with bilingual clients.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in BI development or data solutions, including actual client delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling, including semantic layer design.
• Extensive day-to-day experience with Git and VS Code.
• Hands-on experience managing clients, including difficult clients, independently and without supervision.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional deliverables.
• Bilingual communication skills in French and English.
• Asset: Experience at a software development firm, dev shop, or technology consulting firm
• Asset: Exposure to AWS or a cloud environment
• Asset: Experience with advanced semantic modeling (dbt, Power BI semantic models, or equivalent)
• Asset: Interest in data or applied generative AI
