Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an experienced BI Developer to design, develop, and implement innovative BI solutions on the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and data experts to deliver reliable, accessible data for strategic decision-making.

The role requires 8+ years in BI development in Azure, strong Power BI and SQL skills, and the ability to work across multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. French and English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of BI development experience in Azure environment; Microsoft Fabric experience is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query.
• Strong data modeling skills (star and snowflake schemas).
• Experience with ETL/ELT in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of SAP BW and SAP ECC is highly advantageous.
• Python and Spark are a plus.
• Deep SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with autonomy and rigor.
• Strong communication skills to articulate BI solutions to stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written (Spanish is an asset).

As a BI Developer, you will play an active role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative BI solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and data experts to develop business intelligence reports that support strategic decision‑making through reliable, relevant, and easily accessible data.

Key Accountabilities

• Participate in the architecture, modeling, and end‑to‑end development of BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric and its components (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, etc.).
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports that support decision‑making.
• Optimize the performance of BI solutions, including managing Fabric capacity usage costs.
• Ensure data ingestion, transformation, and quality from various sources (SAP ECC, SAP CAR, flat files, etc.).
• Collaborate with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of analytics practices and tools during the transition to Microsoft Fabric.
• Document developed solutions and provide technical support to users.
• Contribute to the implementation of best practices in data governance and security.
