Job summary

Canada Life is hiring a Plan Structure Data Associate in Montreal to set up and maintain group benefits plan information across internal systems. You will review data, enter records, and help ensure accurate billing and claims processing for clients.

You will handle a varied caseload, resolve data discrepancies, and provide technical support as needed, collaborating with internal partners to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with data.
• Ability to review information, recognize inconsistencies and investigate problems.
• Comfort working in several computer systems.
• Ability to organize a caseload and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Work independently and collaborate with internal partners.
• Experience in administration, data processing, financial transactions, benefits or customer service.
• Comfort using Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain records for new group benefits plans and plan amendments.
• Manage a caseload that includes routine assignments and some more complex cases.
• Review applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify missing, inconsistent or potentially problematic information.
• Enter and update plan information in internal administration systems.
• Prepare initial billing information.
• Process or verify billing adjustments.
• Communicate plan setup details, exceptions and unresolved issues to the appropriate teams.
• Review your own work to reduce errors affecting claims payments or client billing.
• Contribute to straightforward departmental projects when required.
• Provide additional technical support when team capacity and your experience allow.
