Job summary

GroupSource is seeking a Benefits Administrator in Calgary, Alberta, for a hybrid role that balances on-site and home-office days. You will deliver exceptional client service during benefit and enrollment changes and generate electronic monthly billing statements for associated clients.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience in related fields, Post-secondary administrative education, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a proven ability to work under pressure while prioritizing multiple

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience in claims administration, office administration, insurance, health sciences or related field.
  • Post-secondary education in an administrative or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional Client Service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Above average analytical, organizational and planning skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and manage enrollment changes in WEBS daily, including releasing OneCards.
  • Process monthly billing statements accurately during billing release period.
  • Identify errors on enrollment changes and coordinate client corrections.
  • Complete daily billing administration tasks as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes.
  • Assist other team members with responsibilities as required.

Why This Role Matters

As a Benefits Administrator you are responsible for delivering exceptional client service during the processing of benefit and enrollment changes. The Benefit Administrators produce and deliver electronic monthly billing statements for their associated clients. If you are detail oriented, have exceptional client experience skills and have the ability to work well under pressure, this position is for you!

This is a hybrid role based out of our Calgary office, with flexibility to work on site and from home a few days each week.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • You will monitor, analyze, and manage enrollment changes in WEBS on a daily basis including the releasing of OneCards.
  • You will be responsible for processing monthly billing statements accurately during the billing release period.
  • You will identify errors on enrollment changes and work with the client to process any correction(s).
  • You will be responsible for completing daily billing administration tasks as needed.
  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes.
  • You will assist other team members with their responsibilities as required.
What You Bring to the Table
  • You have 1-2 years’ experience in claims administration, office administration, insurance, health sciences or related field.
  • You have Post-secondary education in an administrative or related field.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • You have exceptional Client Service skills.
  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You have above average analytical, organizational and planning skills.
  • You have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to prioritize and must be able to manage multiple priorities in an environment of continuous change.
  • You have the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and adhere to departmental standards
  • You are self-motivated and results oriented. You demonstrate good judgement with the ability to accomplish tasks expediently and with minimum supervision.
Compensation

At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary pay range for this position is $53,000-$55,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards and benefits, that we proudly offer.
