Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Behaviour Mentor for a secondary SEND school in Enfield, North London, starting September 2026. This full-time, long-term role offers a pay rate of £130 per day.

The school provides a supportive environment and a strong focus on helping students overcome behavioural and emotional barriers to learning. You will work closely with pupils with additional needs to support behavioural regulation and engagement with learning, alongside teachers and support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour or additional needs.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students
• Help pupils manage challenging behaviour and regulate emotions
• Support students to engage positively with learning
• Work alongside teachers and other support staff
• Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce school expectations
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support
• Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
