Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL seeks a Behavioral Health Therapist I to join our BayCare Behavioral Health team at St. Joseph's Main. This full-time role provides psychosocial assessments, therapy, and discharge planning in a compassionate setting.

This role requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with LMFT/LMHC/LCSW licensure or eligibility. Two years of clinical experience or a 9-month internship is preferred, and BLS certification is required.

• Provide therapeutic interventions and connect patients with community resources.

• Status: Full-Time, Exempt: Yes
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekend Work: None
• On Call: No

The Behavioral Health Therapist I Is Responsible For:

• Meeting with patients to complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, as well as individual, group and family therapy as deemed appropriate for each individual patient.
• Conducting case management activities as well as discharge planning and maintains appropriate documentation.
• Providing appropriate therapeutic and educational interventions, services and is knowledgeable about community resources.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• This role requires a Master's prepared in the field of Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or other related field.
