Upper Canada Child Care in Newmarket, ON is seeking an Assistant Educator for a Split Shift position in our before & after school programs at Armitage Village PS. The role requires morning and afternoon coverage, 25 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on play-based learning and family communication.

Qualifications

• CPR-C certification and Standard First Aid are required or training will be provided upon selection.
• Basic knowledge of developmental needs of children and ability to apply this knowledge.
• Experience with inquiry/play-based program design and with pedagogical documentation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supports Ministry of Education requirements and Upper Canada Child Care program statements.
• Engages with children to provide a positive learning experience, including meals, toileting and daily care.
• Maintains communication with parents and completes daily logs and program documentation.
