Job summary

CarbonFree Technology Inc. seeks an experienced General Manager to lead and grow its British Columbia portfolio of utility-scale solar projects.

Based in BC with travel to Cariboo sites and periodic trips to our midtown Toronto office, you will own end-to-end development from tenure through bid readiness for BC Hydro calls. You will drive First Nations/community relations, manage environmental and permitting work, coordinate interconnection and budgeting, and align with Toronto teams to meet

Qualifications

• Experience in energy or infrastructure project development and leading projects.
• Direct BC Crown land tenure and provincial permitting experience; BC Hydro submissions preferred.
• Negotiating Indigenous partnership or equity participation agreements.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, planning, business or related field; professional designation is an asset.
• Knowledge of utility interconnection processes in British Columbia.
• Familiarity with ground-mount solar PV development; wind or transmission backgrounds considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead BC portfolio development from tenure to bid-ready submission.
• Oversee First Nations, host communities and stakeholder relations.
• Manage interconnection, permitting, and environmental approvals.
• Coordinate with Toronto teams on project economics and governance.
• Own budget, schedule and external consultant management.
• Report progress to executive leadership and SVP Project Development.
