Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in materials science or engineering.
• 1+ year of practical experience operating lab-scale pilot line equipment for pouch cell fabrication.
• Experience handling battery materials in lab or cleanroom/dry room.
• Direct experience with lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes (slurry preparation, coating, calendering, stacking, electrolyte filling).
• Strong documentation skills and adherence to lab safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end lab-scale pouch cell fabrication, including slurry mixing, coating, calendering, stacking, and formation.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain pilot line equipment and dry rooms.
• Execute DOEs to optimize process parameters and improve yield and energy density.
• Log fabrication metrics into tracking databases and perform inline quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot defects and work with senior engineers on corrective actions.
• Document SOPs and safety protocols for new chemistries and form factors.
