Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking an experienced R&D Battery Operations Engineer to sustain and improve capabilities in our battery lab and production environment.

You will lead process improvements, mentor technicians, and collaborate with scientists and engineers to drive quality, safety, and efficiency across battery assembly and testing.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on industrial laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and improve them.
  • Collaborative and self-motivated working style.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to carefully plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to reduce defects and improve overall product quality.
  • Establish incoming material, in-process material, and final material inspection.
  • Set-up SPC charts for process control.
  • Conduct RCAs.
  • Work collaboratively with technicians, scientists and other engineers to produce high quality.
  • Experience with battery production and testing processes highly desired.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects on the battery assembly and testing processes of the R&D lab to improve safety, quality and capacity.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement strategies.
  • Mentor, train, coach, and support technicians.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, changes, and improvements.
  • Data mining and generation of reports on process performance, efficiency, and quality metrics for management review.
  • Scope, plan and integrate new equipment and processes, improving their performance, output and yield.
  • Invest in our company values and vision and champion them as we grow.

Job description

Regular Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities
