Job summary

Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation is seeking a professional Bartender to join our team. The role ensures beverages are served in compliance with AGLC regulations and Canadian laws, while maintaining bar cleanliness and setup duties.

Ideal candidates will be ProServe certified, 18+, with prior food and beverage and bartending experience. You will need strong interpersonal skills, a team mindset, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be ProServe certified or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior food & beverage and bartending experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks quickly and accurately according to recipes.
• Set up and tear down bar area as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and work space.
• Take orders, process payments, and ring sales.
• Follow AGLC regulations and Canadian laws for alcohol service.
• Collaborate with serving staff to fulfill orders promptly.
• Track liquor inventory and restock as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Position

The Bartender is responsible for ensuring guests are served beverages in accordance with AGLC regulations and Canadian laws. The role will be focused on fulfilling drink orders while also being responsible for the set-up, tear-down, and overall cleanliness of the bar area. The embodiment of hospitality starts with you. Key Accountabilities

• Quickly and accurately prepares drinks;
• Pour drinks and follow recipes according to the restaurant specifications;
• Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained;
• Set-up and tear-down the bar area according to service requirements;
• Follow all AGLC regulations and Canadian laws pertaining to alcohol service;
• Collaborate with serving staff to ensure a quick and accurate fulfillment of orders;
• Take orders and process payments;
• Maintain an accurate liquor inventory;
• Actively participate in safety programs and follow polices;
• All other duties as assigned.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

• Must be ProServe certified and be 18 years of age or older;
• Prior food and beverage and bartending experience is required;

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple guests at once;

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Exemplary customer service skills;
• Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
